About:Â J. Henry & Sons bourbon started out as a dram. In 2008, Joe Henry decided to resurrect an heirloom red corn. This was a corn Joe s father had grown for decades in the 40 s. Since this corn hadn t been grown in some time, they had to repropagate the grain themselves. All the grain used in J. Henry Bourbon comes from Henry Farms. Their soil to bottle approach results in an undeniably good product.Â
Today, we offer the 2023 Anniversary bottle. This was bottled to celebrate 16-years in the bourbon business. The blend is mix of 5.5 years to 9-years old bourbon! These barrels were selected by handpicked by Joe Z. Henry and Master Blender Nancy Fraley. I ve always loved this bourbon for its creamy vanilla and allspice notes. With some of the bourbon at nearly 10-years old, those flavor notes are enhanced and deepened. It is an incredible blend of true craft whiskey.
