Tasting Notes: Dense can barely begin to describe how saturated and thick this nose is. Take everything you’ve loved about an American Light Whiskey and add more heavily cooked caramel sauce, maple, and lots of balanced oak with a slice of lemon meringue pie to go. Buttery and a touch floral.
The palate lights up all of the taste buds on first sip, but dissipates slightly as you continue. Rich cherry sauce, heavily charred oak, dense brown sugar, gobs of vanilla, and deep, slightly charred concentrated grape notes as if you were watching the Welch’s production facility catch fire.
The finish is looooooong… trailing with great spice and a lot of hard candy sweetness.
