Tasting Notes:Â The profile is sweet with honey and caramel up front. The mid palate has all the traditional baking spice notes with clove, nutmeg, and spearmint but there is also a citrus flavor akin to orange zest mixed with a sweet flavor some characterize as big league chew bubble gum. The proof and oily nature of this whiskey keep the finish around for a very long time. We were proud to add this goat to the herd, and we think you will be glad we did!
About the product: The Prideful Goat has been cooking up some new offerings for the herd. We are proud to offer a new limited edition bottling. It is an 8 year 95% rye distilled at MGPI. Just like our 6 year rye this offering is cask strength and non-chill filtered. This whiskey spent about 3 years in the extreme aging environment of the distillery’s Houston location. This caused this whiskey to develop a much more robust and complex flavor profile than you would expect from a similar aged whiskey that spent its whole life at MGPI.
