Tasting Notes: Nose: Baking spices, caramel, vanilla, orange flesh. Palate: Milk chocolate, salt spray, black pepper, long cinnamon finish. This finish is more bourbon forward than some of the other rum finishes we ve had. It adds depth and sweetness but not an overpowering rum flavor.
About Starlight: Starlight Distillery is a family-owned distillery in Starlight, IN. The distillery started out as a family farm in 1940. It s had multiple evolutions over the years. In 1978, the Huber s started their winery. Then in 2000 the Huber s took the next step and received approval to open the distillery. Starlight is farm-focused and produces many single-origin products. I think they re the only distillery I know that is a working farm, orchard, market, tourist destination, winery, banquet hall, and distillery!
